Hi There
Hope you all had a great christmas. We had a lovely time. Majella and I got to spend the week leading up to christmas at home in Donegal. It was a lovely relaxing time for both of us after all of the travelling we had done in the months previous. I'm sure you know by now that I love christmas and everything that goes with it. I couldn't have enough christmas trees and decorations!! Every year I want more but thank God Majella is there to reign me in! If she did'nt, they would see us from outer space! Michael and Siobhan were both home with us and this year we went to the family home for dinner. We had a lovely day with my mother and my sister Kathleens family. Of course we eat to much but we enjoyed every bite!!
Since we came back from Branson we had a number of shows which I really enjoyed. I celebrated my 48th birthday by doing a concert in Birmingham and Majella surprised me with a cake on stage. I thought she was in Ireland and had only spoken to her at home in the afternoon, so it was a great surprise for me. I don't know if you know that we are doing a show at the Grand Ole Opry next june. The show went on sale and within 30 minutes it had sold out! This really is one of the highlights of my career so far and to think that it sold out so quickly is fantastic. That show is going to be taped for PBS Television and also made into a DVD, so even if you don't have a ticket, you will eventually get to see it. We are on holiday now until the beginning of march.
Today Majella and I are on our way to join Cliff Richard and some friends to celebrate new year and then we go on a cruise for a few weeks in the Caribbean. Its an early surprise birthday present for Majella as she will be turning 50 in April. We only started cruising a few years ago and we really love it. Our flight has just been called so we want to wish you a very happy, peaceful new year. Thanks for your support over the last decade, here's to the next!!!
God bless,
Daniel
